A Baby Shower Checklist
Can Be a Lifesaver
While you might think that you can handle it all,
a baby shower checklist will make sure that you do.
From the guests to the gifts, you want to be sure that you are taking care of everything for the expectant mother—because you know that she has enough on her mind already.
The person that is usually in charge of planning a baby shower and thus needs the baby shower checklist is typically a friend or a close relative of the mother to be. Of course, anyone that wants to plan a baby shower is welcome to the job, but in general, it will be someone who the mother knows well and who knows the mother well too.
The first thing that should go on a baby shower checklist is finding out the date of the shower. And the first person you should ask is the mother. You should see if there is a day that works for her and perhaps even what time of day would be better. Some women get tired earlier or later in the day, so that baby shower invitation should reflect the expectant mom's energy fluctuations.
Next, you will want to determine the guest list as well as the setting for the actual baby shower. On any baby shower checklist is whether to not to hold the shower at a house or in a rented facility. Because showers tend to be more personal affairs, a home can be the best (and the cheapest) option. of course, this will necessitate that the home be free for that time frame.
The baby shower checklist will then include the various menu options that are being considered. Talking with the pregnant mom will be very good at this point because you want to make sure that she can and will eat the foods that are being served. You will also want to decide between a buffet and a catered baby shower, depending on the number of guests as well as the budget.
Games are an important part of a baby shower checklist as well and can provide a fun way to introduce guests to each other and celebrate the new mom at the same time.
